Graduate I-20 Request Instructions
These instructions are for admitted students who have confirmed their intent to enroll and
intend to enter the US on an F-1 Visa
. If you are completing your program online from your home country you can disregard these instructions. Once you have officially requested your I-20 the International Office will process the request in order of receipt. If any additional items are needed, they will contact you directly via email.
Please note:
If you are part of one of the Global Partnership programs (PSG, VIT, Shobhit) you will receive different instructions from your program contact.

The I-20 request instructions vary depending whether you need an initial I-20, a deferred I-20 for a future term, or to transfer in from another US institution. Select a statement from the drop down below to be shown the applicable instructions.

Requesting an Initial I-20
1. Activate your MyUT account
Go to the
UTAD Account Management
page and follow the steps for New Account Creation/Activation. If you have any difficulties activating your MyUT account, please contact IT at
helpdesk@utoledo.edu
.
2. Visit the
iRocket Portal
and fill out the Graduate Initial I-20 Request form
The iRocket Portal uses your University of Toledo UTAD username and password to submit eForms for review by OISSS staff. You can access the iRocket portal approximately 24 hours after you first activate your UTAD. If you are having problems accessing your iRocket Portal
after
24 hours have passed, please contact the International Office at
oisss@utoledo.edu
.
3. Submit supporting documents through the iRocket Portal
All bank documents/scholarship letters must be dated within 30 days of submission - documents older than 30 days will not be considered. Complete the Certificate of Financial Responsibility form and upload that with your other financial documents.
If any additional documents are required they will contact you directly via the email you provide on your I-20 request form.
Deferring a previous I-20
1. Visit the
iRocket Portal
and fill out the Graduate I-20 Deferral Request form

Processing time for I-20 requests is approximately 3-5 business days after all supporting documentation has been received. The International Office does not send updates while they process electronic requests. The I-20 will be issued electronically via email.

The University of Toledo requires proof of financial support for the first two semesters of study. These are estimates and subject to change. These estimates
DO NOT
include travel expenses, books, recreation and incidental expenses.

Your tuition and fees are unique to you and your enrollment. Final invoices will be assessed after registration. The following estimates are for the purpose of I-20 issuance.

If you have dependents, add $5,000 for the first dependent and $4,000 for each additional dependent to the TOTAL.

page. It will guide you through the most important things to take care of before starting your first semester, and also includes important dates such as Welcome Week (held the week before classes begin), registration deadlines, and tuition due dates.
